How to make Homemade Soap with Burnt Sugar Fragrance Oil Video and Recipe

Posted by Chris Greten on

Wow I must be going for a world record 2 videos in 2 days! You are probably thinking what the heck happened here. The truth is I recorded this video How to make soap with Burnt Sugar Fragrance oil a few weeks back. It was giving me such a hard time. I tell you I am learning so much as I continue on with not only the blog challenge but also learning to make videos. I made the video a few weeks ago and could not get the subtitles to line up with the pictures. I finally gave up. When I went to Vegas Joe spent some time with it and got it to work properly. He still does not know why it was giving me such fits! But anyway it is working and is now published along with my why we started Westboundsoap video.
It was fun making this video and as you can see in the video I am not as neat as others when it comes to most things! As hard as I try I just cannot be neat and tidy. I did speed up the process in the video as it really was at least 20-30 minutes and I condensed it down to under 3 minutes through the magic of fast forward, actually 8X faster to be exact!

My goal is to make more videos of my soap making and I know they will only get better and better over time. But it is fun to watch the whole process from start to finish and like I said it is under 3 minutes so I know it is not too painful.  For anyone who is a soapmaker I did leave out that I superfat at 5%, you need to know that for the recipe and maybe I will add a slide to show that as well. If you have never made soap I really highly recommend that you do some research on how to make soap and also how to work with Lye. It can be very dangerous if you do not know what you are doing. Please watch the video and if you thought I did a good job please like it as well. I would love to hear your comments! Oh and if you want to purchase some of this yummy soap, Click Here.
